Ceremonies to Manifest our Heart’s Desires
Rituals of Desire are small ceremonies that are repeated to co-create energetic pathways. They are designed for seeking, augmenting, developing, and enriching. There are common elements inherent in all desires, and as you choose which actions best suit you at this time, you will find that much of the energy will flow into other areas of your life.
Seeking Companionship/Partnership. This ritual will harness energy toward your intention of experiencing a life companion or partner that nurtures you deeply.
Seeking a Healthy Pregnancy. If your dream is to become pregnant and experience a healthy pregnancy to give birth to a healthy baby, this is the ritual for you. The creation of a ritual whereby you express gratitude for the life within will express this desire to the universe in a way that is clear and heart-felt. The key is to
feel the joy.
Seeking a New Job. The desire for a better job, one that is more aligned with your life purpose, is a common theme for many of us in this life. This ceremony will help you clarify your intention and identify the essence of the job that you seek.
A deeply felt heart’s desire is a powerful motivational force and is ignited through dedicated focus and conscious awareness. Inherent in the quest to manifest a desire is movement from one state to another – in some cases this may be seen as movement from “not experiencing” to “experiencing”. A helpful way to approach a
Ritual of Desire is to consider that you are, in fact, seeking a change or a shift of energy.
Change implies movement, and at its core, it is energetic exchange. The Buddhist precept of “impermanence” is perhaps the most helpful concept here. The only constant is change. Approaching your desire with the idea that you are simply harnessing the energy to affect change is central. Attitude is also crucial – avoid coming from a place of emptiness and despair, as this energy tends to pull you back from the movement you seek. If this is how you feel, please consider completing the
Ritual to Release Feelings of Negativity first, so that energetically you are clear. This clarity will enhance the overall result of the
Ritual of Desire you perform.
Each
Ritual of Desire suggests some type of preliminary preparation. The intention is to prepare the energetic pathway related to the specific desire. You can opt to skip this step if you feel your path is clear and you are ready to harness energy. Preliminary exercises may be as simple as naming a fear and may be as involved as deepening the experience of a special interest or activity.
Each ceremony involves materials and actions which symbolically represent the steps taken to harness energy. Each
Ritual of Desire will embody a unique “essence” and “affirmation”. Remember, these ceremonial actions are offered as frameworks. For a different desire that is near and dear to your heart, design your own ceremony by selecting ceremonial elements that resonate within your spirit.
Ceremonial Materials and Actions:
- Small candle. Lighting a candle with a match represents your intention to transform energy and create movement to fulfill your desire.
- Small stone. A stone is a physical reminder of how you feel and what you intend to experience when your desire is manifest.
- Spring water. The use of spring water in which to immerse the stone or sprinkle upon the stone calls forth the emotional energy to experience the desire deeply within your heart.
- Air. Air is symbolic of the mind. As air meets the wet stone, your mind creates a potential scenario where the desire manifests in your life.
- Affirmation. An affirmation positively states, in present tense, what exists as you consider your desire is manifest in your life. It is important that your affirmation reflect the essence of your desire.
Continued Energetic Effect:
The physical reminder of each ritual is the small stone used in the ceremony. There are many ways you can display this stone or keep it handy so that you are reminded of feelings as you enjoy the fruition of this desire. Place it on your night stand, your dresser, or your altar. Another idea is to carry it in your pocket or your purse. Whatever seems natural and comfortable and whatever will allow the stone to be noticed by you is the best method for you.
As your desire moves toward manifestation, celebrate and give thanks. Perform a
Blessing of Gratitude and place the stone in a place of honor where its energy can continue its magic.
